A Unique Journey
Japanese Acupuncture
The treatment she received not only healed her illness but provided such personal relief that she wanted to learn how to provide this same healing and feeling of relief to others.
Early in her study, Dr. Sage expanded her study to include the lighter touch and thinner needling style of Japanese acupuncture.
She realized that some people would experience difficulties with heavy needling common in Chinese style acupuncture. The addition of the Japanese needling style makes the full benefit of acupuncture available to more patients seeking relief.
Since 2000 Dr. Sage has explored and developed her practice through many wonderful and enriching opportunities.
She’s practiced in a Japanese acupuncture clinic near Sacramento and volunteered as an acupuncturist for the US Olympic trials track and field finals.
She has also worked for the Napa drug court as an acupuncture detox specialist and worked with the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic cancer clinic for women in Oakland, California.
Dr. Sage continued her private practice when she moved to Las Vegas. Practicing part time, she returned to school to pursue her doctoral studies.
After completing an internship at a unified TCM/Western Medical hospital in Shanghai, China, Dr. Sage graduated and was honored with the Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM).
